Megaworld Hotels & Resorts has earned the distinction of being the Philippines’ first-ever Muslim-Friendly Hotel Chain, receiving the prestigious Halal in Travel Award at CrescentRating’s 2025 ceremony held in Singapore.
The award recognises Megaworld’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusive travel by creating welcoming spaces and services tailored to the needs of Muslim guests.
Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, president of Megaworld Corporation, congratulated the team for this milestone, emphasizing the company’s commitment to inclusivity and cultural diversity across its townships.
Megaworld Hotels & Resorts managing director Cleofe Albiso expressed gratitude for the honour, describing it as a reflection of the Philippines’ spirit of openness and cultural harmony. She invited Muslim travellers worldwide to consider the Philippines as their “home away from home.”
