The Las Vegas Travel Agent Forum (LVTAF) drew thousands of travel professionals eager to reconnect, learn, and explore new opportunities in the leisure travel market. Among the standout participants was the Mexican Caribbean Tourism Board, which made a high-impact showing while highlighting the region’s rapid transformation and renewed engagement with U.S. travel advisors.
Led by CEO Andrés Martínez, the delegation included Director of Marketing & Communications Danae Makrygiannis and Sam Combs, Director of Trade & Product at PTG Consulting. Their presence underscored the Board’s strategic focus on strengthening ties with the North American travel trade community and promoting key updates that are reshaping tourism across the Mexican Caribbean.
A central message of the delegation was the debut of major infrastructure advancements, most notably the recently inaugurated Tulum International Airport and the Mayan Train—a transformative rail network aimed at improving regional connectivity and sustainable tourism.
The Tourism Board spotlighted all 12 of the region’s destinations—from Cancun and Cozumel to Bacalar and Holbox—emphasizing both the diversity and growing accessibility of the Mexican Caribbean. The LVTAF, a leading B2B event connecting North American travel sellers with global travel products and services, provided a high-value platform for the Tourism Board to deliver updates, share marketing insights, and solidify partnerships with top travel advisors.
“We are committed to supporting our partners in the U.S. travel trade and ensuring they are equipped with the latest tools and knowledge to sell the Mexican Caribbean with confidence,” said Martínez during the forum.
The Board’s proactive engagement at LVTAF signals the Mexican Caribbean’s intent to remain a top-tier destination for U.S. travelers while adapting to evolving traveler expectations and infrastructure developments.
