Tourism in Latin America is thriving, and Uber is making it easier for travelers to explore top destinations. In popular locations like Cancún, Punta Cana, Cartagena, Jamaica, and Costa Rica, Uber offers seamless transportation between airports, beaches, and key neighborhoods, helping visitors uncover local experiences.
Puerto Rico is now the focus of Uber’s latest travel initiative, Uber Te Espera, in partnership with Discover Puerto Rico. The program arrives as the island gains global attention, especially with major cultural events such as Bad Bunny’s 2025 residency attracting international visitors.
Through this initiative, all active Uber drivers in Puerto Rico will receive free virtual training on topics like Puerto Rican history, culture, food, and local events. This knowledge helps drivers become better travel ambassadors, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
“Uber drivers are often the first point of contact for visitors,” said Carolina Coto, Communications Manager for Uber in Central America and the Caribbean. “By equipping them with valuable information, we support local tourism growth and improve the experience for travelers in collaboration with Discover Puerto Rico.”
