ShopeePay has teamed up with Zurich General Takaful Malaysia to launch Zurich Travel Takaful, a Shariah-compliant travel protection plan available digitally.
Through this collaboration, travelers can now access Zurich Travel Takaful via the ShopeePay platform, meeting the growing demand for Shariah-compliant travel protection options.
The plan offers coverage for both domestic and international travel. Domestic coverage starts from RM3 per day, while international coverage is available from RM15.99 per day.
This is ShopeePay’s first venture into the travel protection market, offering both single-trip and annual coverage options to cater to occasional and frequent travelers alike.
Zurich Travel Takaful provides up to RM300,000 in coverage for medical expenses and personal accidents while traveling. Additional benefits include compensation for travel cancellations, delays, curtailments, baggage delays, and the loss of personal effects or travel documents.
Participants also have access to Zurich’s 24-hour travel assistance hotline for added support.
