According to a report by AFP on May 26, Nathalie Dratth, the French minister – delegate in charge of tourism, during her visit to Corsica, stated that France’s tourism industry is reaping benefits as some tourists are shunning the US. Specifically, tourists from Canada and Japan are reluctant to travel to the US under Trump’s leadership.
Dratth mentioned that the French tourism sector is “performing well”, with optimistic summer booking trends. There is a strong likelihood that France will see a new high in tourist arrivals in 2025. She emphasized the importance of France maintaining its position as the world’s top tourist destination.
This development not only showcases the positive impact on France’s tourism revenue and visitor numbers but also signals the need for continuous efforts to enhance tourism infrastructure and services to sustain its leading global standing.
