Zambia will host the Zambia Travel Expo (ZATEX) 2025 from June 5 to 7 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. The event’s theme is “Sustainable Tourism: Driving Inclusive Growth.” It will bring together tourism professionals, investors, policy-makers, and consumers from Africa and beyond.
The programme features a Hosted Buyers initiative, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, exhibitions, and knowledge sessions. Zambia’s President, Hakainde Hichilema, is expected to open the event on June 6.
Highlights include a high-level panel on boosting economic growth through sustainable tourism. Other sessions will focus on digital innovation, air connectivity, data-driven decision-making, and destination branding. Attendees will also discuss tourism education, conservation tourism, meetings and events (MICE) development, and professional skills in the sector.
ZATEX 2025 will end with a Consumer Day aimed at promoting domestic tourism and a Gala Dinner for networking and celebrating the industry.
