The first day of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28 April to 1 May, brought together industry experts to explore the evolving trends in business travel, regional economic strategies, and global factors influencing corporate travel.
The session, titled ‘State of the Nation: Navigating the Future of Business Travel in the Middle East,’ held in partnership with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), provided key insights into what’s shaping the future of business travel. Experts discussed how corporate travel budgets are being impacted by changing economic conditions, the rise of new technologies, and sustainability goals.
Catherine Logan, Regional Senior Vice President for EMEA and APAC at GBTA, shared her thoughts, saying, “The case for business travel in 2025 is strong, but we’re seeing transformational shifts in how we travel for work. These shifts include economic stability, budget constraints, the evolving nature of work, technological innovations, sustainability, and a stronger focus on the traveler.”
This session highlighted how business travel is adapting to the changing landscape, and the discussions set the stage for more in-depth conversations on the future of corporate travel in the region.
