FWD Insurance has introduced a new campaign in response to growing dissatisfaction among Asian travelers with traditional travel insurance. This follows findings from the “Travel Troubles Beyond Lost Luggage 2024” survey conducted by Klook Protect.
The survey, which included travelers from across Asia such as Singapore, found that 21% of respondents want alternatives to the old-fashioned, one-size-fits-all insurance plans. Meanwhile, 34% said they want a simpler and more engaging way to buy insurance. Another 25% pointed out that complicated claims processes make it hard to get coverage.
These results show a gap between what insurance companies currently offer and what modern, mobile-savvy travelers expect. The report highlights the urgent need for insurance solutions that are flexible, clear, and easy to use, fitting today’s fast-changing travel habits and digital lifestyles.
