SATENA, Colombia’s national airline, has been honored by the Global Brand Frontier Awards for its work in making air travel more accessible across the country’s difficult terrain.
The airline uses small, fuel-efficient planes that can reach remote areas with limited airport facilities. It also operates a Hub & Spoke system that improves connections between major cities and less-served communities.
In 2024, SATENA carried more than 900,000 passengers. The airline plans to grow its fleet by adding eight new Twin Otter aircraft, specially designed for tough landscapes.
This award highlights SATENA’s dedication to social integration by overcoming geographic challenges and economic barriers to air travel in Colombia.
