One of the most exciting innovations is Expedia Trip Matching, a new tool that turns Instagram reels into bookable travel plans. Users can simply share a travel-related reel with Expedia and instantly receive personalized itineraries, travel tips, and destination suggestions. This feature bridges the gap between online inspiration and real-world booking, allowing travelers to go from browsing to booking in moments.
On the business side, Expedia is expanding its Private Label Solutions platform with new APIs for cars, activities, insurance, and flights. These tools allow partners to offer fully packaged, AI-powered travel experiences under their own brand. The APIs are designed for speed and ease of use, helping businesses connect with travelers and create new revenue opportunities.
Another key upgrade is the launch of the Reservation Management API, built with GraphQL technology. This tool helps hotel partners automate bookings, streamline operations, and improve the guest experience—all within their existing systems. Expedia estimates this API could save hotels more than 8 million hours and $120 million each year.
