A family outing to Disneyland turned violent after a dispute over a photo booth line escalated into a physical altercation in front of stunned park visitors. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 31st, at the Shanghai Disneyland Resort. According to reports from Viral Press, a man and his girlfriend were taking photos in a photo booth when a family of three appeared in the background of their shots, leading to a rapid escalation of the situation.
In footage captured by bystanders, the couple confronted the father of the family, who was seen pushing the man and woman away. The woman, wearing a large, floppy hat, appeared to push the family’s toddler’s face while she was in her mother’s arms, causing the mother to scream and fall to the ground. The couple then continued to attack the father, with the woman grabbing his neck and pushing him against a wall.
Park security intervened to stop the fight as several visitors rushed to help defuse the situation. People has reached out to Disneyland for comment but has not yet received a response.Witnesses claimed that the couple had cut in line for the photo booth.
One bystander recalled the woman shouting, “What’s wrong with me calling you stupid? Is it illegal for me to call you stupid? Are you unhappy?” Park staff assisted the injured man after the altercation. Local media reported that both individuals sustained minor injuries, including scratches and bruises, and that the child was not seriously harmed. It is unclear whether any charges have been filed.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred at Disneyland. In May 2023, a brawl broke out among a group of people vying for a photo with a special 100th-anniversary logo to commemorate Walt Disney Company’s centennial. Authorities said the incident occurred after one family stood in front of the logo to take a photo, and another family entered the park and stood in the same spot. When the first family asked the second to move so they could take their photo, a member of the second family slapped a member of the first, leading to a fight. Two guests were escorted out of the park.
