On the afternoon of June 5th, in the presence of Japanese Diet members including former Japanese Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Mr. Ito Kousuke, a signing ceremony for the [INNN Airport Transfer] procurement agreement was held with great fanfare. The agreement was signed by Mr. Sun Jianfeng, President of Hong Kong Airlines, and Mr. Matsumoto Shiori, President of Japan Aladdin Group.
The [INNN Airport Transfer] service, developed by Japan Aladdin Group and launched in October 2024, is a “shared airport transfer” project in Japan with a total investment exceeding 10 billion yen. This service, known for its high cost-effectiveness, has effectively addressed the long-standing issue of inconvenient transportation between Japanese airports and hotels, a common complaint among international travelers.
As a result, it has quickly gained popularity among multiple airlines and OTAs. Within just eight months of operation, several Chinese airlines including China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Spring Airlines, and Tianjin Airlines have signed agreements and launched this service. Additionally, OTAs such as Ctrip, Fliggy, Longteng Card, and Mastercard have also integrated this service. Globally, dozens of airlines are currently in talks with or undergoing technical integration with Aladdin for this service.
Amidst the intensifying price war on Japan routes, Hong Kong Airlines has taken the lead in launching the “flight with car” model at the destination. Starting from July 1st, 2025, all passengers purchasing tickets for Hong Kong Airlines’ Osaka route will be provided with the [INNN Airport Transfer] “door-to-door” free transfer service.
Against the backdrop of Japan’s high transportation costs, this value-added service is expected to significantly enhance Hong Kong Airlines’ competitiveness on Japan routes and usher in a new era of travel: the “one-ticket-to-door” model. It is reported that Juneyao Airlines will be the first mainland Chinese airline to launch the Japan “flight with car” model, with the signing ceremony and high-profile promotion of the “flight with car” service between Juneyao and Aladdin also scheduled to take place this month. This move is expected to open a new chapter in the competition of value-added services on international routes by Chinese airlines.
