South Africa will host Africa’s first-ever Glamping Expo on June 20-21 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre. The event, led by Gugu Sithole, founder of Glamping Adventures, aims to unite various stakeholders from the glamping industry to foster collaboration, innovation, and future growth.
As glamping continues to rise in popularity, Sithole recognized the need for a dedicated platform to bring together the key players in this growing sector. She explained, “After running Glamping Adventures for a few years, we realized the sector needed a space where everyone in the value chain could come together to explore new ideas, network, and collaborate. Individual glamping brands were emerging on farms, game reserves, and beaches, but there was no central place to showcase these innovations. We decided to create a stage for the entire industry and for travelers to connect.”
The expo will bring together a wide range of professionals, including architects, landowners, manufacturers, SMEs, retailers, and travel agents, all focused on the exciting potential of glamping.
