When travel plans do change, the most common reasons are financial or political. Thirty-six percent of advisors said clients were adjusting plans due to economic uncertainty. Twenty-nine percent pointed to global political tensions. Another 27 percent mentioned a drop in discretionary spending.
While some individuals are rethinking their travel plans, the overall demand for travel remains strong. Experts say this is due in part to pent-up demand following years of restrictions, as well as growing confidence among consumers.
