Virgin Australia is set to resume international long-haul flights with the launch of its inaugural Sydney to Doha route, in alliance with Qatar Airways.
This partnership connects Australian travelers to over 170 global destinations across six continents.
The new service begins with flights from Brisbane on 19 June 2025, Perth on 26 June 2025, and Melbourne joining in December 2025.
Together, the alliance will offer up to 2.65 million seats annually between Australia and Doha, providing enhanced service, inflight amenities, and loyalty rewards.
To celebrate the launch, Virgin Australia is offering limited-time fares discounted by up to 15% on flights to Doha and select European destinations for travel between 16 October 2025 and 31 March 2026. Tickets go on sale from 12:01am AEST on 10 June until 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2025, or until sold out.
