Qantas has officially announced the return of international flights from Adelaide, marking a major step in enhancing the city’s global travel connectivity. Beginning October 31, 2025, Qantas will launch a seasonal route between Adelaide and Auckland, operating four times weekly on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays using Boeing 737 aircraft. The approximately four-hour flight will provide a direct connection between South Australia and New Zealand until May 3, 2026.
This service is the first phase of Qantas’s long-term plan to grow Adelaide’s international network. The airline intends to introduce future direct flights from Adelaide to major Asian hubs, including Singapore, utilizing its new Airbus A321XLR fleet.
Passengers flying from Adelaide to Auckland will also benefit from convenient onward connections to North America via Qantas’s popular Auckland-New York route, making travel to the U.S. easier than ever.
The Adelaide-Auckland service marks the beginning of Qantas’s efforts to reestablish Adelaide as an international travel hub, with further expansions expected as global travel demand grows.
