The global travel and tourism industry is poised for major growth in 2025, with international visitor spending expected to reach a record $2.1 trillion. This forecast, released by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), surpasses the previous high set in 2019 by more than $160 billion, showing a strong recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact.

The rebound reflects a renewed enthusiasm for travel around the world. The WTTC also projects that tourism will contribute nearly $11.7 trillion to the global economy in 2025. This would account for almost 10% of total worldwide economic activity.
