United Airlines (UA) is preparing to operate over 4,600 daily flights from May 22 to May 28, 2025. This will be the airline’s busiest Memorial Day travel period in history.
Chicago O’Hare (ORD), United’s main hub, is expected to handle heavy passenger traffic as the airline plans to fly 3.8 million travelers during this busy week.
CEO Scott Kirby shared a Memorial Day message with employees, honoring U.S. service members and encouraging staff to deliver a record-breaking summer. His message comes as United expands its international routes and strengthens its presence at key U.S. airports such as Newark (EWR), while also returning to New York JFK (JFK).
