Recently, an astonishing incident has shocked the international news circle. An Indian influencer, during his trip in Turkey, live – streamed his inappropriate behavior towards a local female tour guide. He not only made lewd advances but also brazenly announced his plan to intoxicate and sexually assault her, which immediately ignited the fury of Turkish netizens. The local police took prompt action and apprehended him from his hotel overnight.
The “notorious” figure is Malik Vinash Bakler. Instead of enjoying the scenery and historical sites in Turkey, he hired several local female tour guides and engaged in despicable acts throughout the live – stream. In the videos, he discussed with his audience in Hindi about “whether to live – stream indecent acts” and then stated his intention to get the guide drunk for sexual assault, sending chills down people’s spines. Moreover, his camera was constantly focused on the tour guide’s clothing, clearly showing his intention to harass.
These outrageous videos went viral on Facebook and TikTok, enraging Turkish netizens. The comment sections were filled with condemnations, with people saying, “This is not a trip but a blatant crime!” Others shared screenshots, demanding severe punishment, believing that such a scoundrel should not be allowed to tarnish Turkey’s image. Upon receiving the reports, the local police acted without hesitation and took him into custody within a day. Now, all his accounts have been blocked, and the videos have been completely deleted.
This incident has drawn great attention due to its blatant disregard for moral and legal boundaries. Some influencers, driven by the pursuit of traffic, seem to stop at nothing. Using sexual harassment as a live – streaming gimmick and openly discussing criminal plans is a blatant disrespect for the law. What’s more, such actions in a foreign country have far – reaching negative impacts. Turkish netizens’ perception of Indian tourists may be severely affected, potentially ruining the good – will of cultural exchanges.
This case serves as a wake – up call for all live – streamers: the internet is not a law – free zone, and when live – streaming abroad, one must abide by the rules. Relying on vulgar content to gain attention may bring short – term traffic but will likely end with legal consequences. To maintain a healthy online environment, streamers must first have a moral bottom line, or they will surely face the music.
