Before this policy, Chinese travelers had to apply for visas to enter Singapore, while Singaporeans could stay in China visa – free for up to 15 days for non – work – related visits. The new 30 – day visa – free policy not only simplifies travel procedures but also significantly boosts tourism enthusiasm.
According to travel platforms, searches for Singaporean tourism destinations on Chinese travel apps surged by over 200% immediately after the policy was announced. The policy also has a positive impact on the aviation and hotel industries. Airlines are increasing flight frequencies between the two countries to meet the growing demand, and hotels in popular Singaporean tourist areas are reporting a sharp increase in pre – bookings.
