Virgin Voyages has unveiled strategic sales leadership appointments and organizational upgrades aimed at deepening its partnership with travel advisors. The move follows the adult-exclusive cruise line’s record-breaking trade growth and a sold-out Ultimate First Mate Voyage, reinforcing its commitment to supporting advisors—dubbed “First Mates”—with enhanced resources and growth opportunities.
Koreen McNutt joins as Vice President of Agency & Business Development, bringing over 30 years of industry experience from roles at MSC Cruises, Expedia Group, Holland America Line, and Windstar Cruises. In her new role, McNutt will spearhead initiatives to strengthen advisor relationships and craft collaborative success strategies for both the brand and its travel partners.
Concurrently, Kristy Woolums has been named Senior Director of National Strategic Accounts for North America. Woolums will oversee Virgin’s Red Hot national account partnerships and serve as the cruise line’s key ambassador at major industry events and gatherings, bridging strategic alliances with on-the-ground representation.
“These appointments reflect our integrated commercial approach to delivering specialized expertise and accelerated growth for First Mates,” said a Virgin Voyages spokesperson. The leadership shakeup underscores the brand’s focus on aligning sales strategies with advisor needs, leveraging decades of collective industry knowledge to drive mutual success in the adult-cruise segment.
