Chinese Embassy Issues Travel Warning for Israel Effective May 16, 2025

The Chinese Embassy in Israel announced that starting May 16, 2025, certain areas in Israel have been classified under heightened travel risk levels:

Red Alert (Extremely High Risk):

• North of Nahariva-Safed
• North and east of the Sea of Galilee
• South of Ashkelon
• West of Netivot

Chinese citizens are strongly advised to avoid all travel to these red zones. Those currently in these areas should evacuate or move to safer locations immediately. In emergencies, they must contact local police and the Chinese Embassy without delay.

Orange Alert (High Risk):

All other areas in Israel not listed above.

Travelers in orange zones should remain cautious, stay alert, enhance personal security measures, and be prepared for emergencies. They should also maintain close communication with local authorities and the Embassy.
