Kolkata Travel Agencies Unite to Boost Kashmir Tourism Despite Security

Around 100 travel companies and several associate agencies in Kolkata have joined forces to support the ‘Chalo Kashmir’ initiative, aiming to revive tourism in the region.

This collective effort sends a strong message against the recent Pahalgam attack, which experts view as an attempt to damage Kashmir’s hospitality sector.

Industry leaders believe that encouraging tourists to return to the Valley will serve as a powerful way to counter terrorism. Together, these agencies handle about 400,000 domestic tourists each year, with 40,000 visiting Jammu and Kashmir. The campaign is expected to attract even more support from travel groups in the coming days.
