Ryanair has issued a warning to passengers travelling to and from Portugal amid severe delays at several of the country’s airports.
The budget airline reported that 270 travellers have been affected by long queues and significant staff shortages at check-in counters.
The worst disruptions are at Faro, Lisbon, and Porto airports, where passengers have faced wait times of up to two and a half hours.
Ryanair described the situation as “unacceptable” and expressed concern for the many holidaymakers left stranded after missing their flights.
Passengers are advised to arrive early and prepare for possible delays while Portuguese airports work to resolve the staffing challenges.
