Aqua Expeditions has introduced its inaugural seven-night voyages to South Raja Ampat aboard the 60-metre Aqua Blu, expanding on the success of its North Raja Ampat expeditions. As the first long-range ocean explorer yacht permanently based in East Indonesia, Aqua Blu offers guests exclusive access to some of the region’s most remote and pristine areas, combining Aqua’s renowned local expertise with exceptional luxury, design, and cuisine.
The new South Raja Ampat itinerary, setting sail for the first time from 19 to 26 December 2026, starts at US$11,200 (approximately AU$17,252) per person, double occupancy. It complements Aqua Blu’s existing North Raja Ampat voyages, with options to combine both into immersive 14-night expeditions.
Guests explore the vast 300,000-acre Misool Marine Reserve, diving at world-famous sites like Fibiacet and Candy Store, kayaking through the limestone labyrinth of One Thousand Temples, and discovering unique wildlife from pygmy seahorses to king birds of paradise.
The program includes hiking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and guided naturalist-led excursions, offering an unparalleled deep dive into the archipelago’s rich biodiversity and culture.
Starting and finishing in Sorong, the expedition features remarkable highlights such as jellyfish lakes, petroglyph-covered sea caves, coral gardens teeming with endangered hawksbill turtles, and wildlife-rich forests. The voyage balances adventure and luxury with just 15 suites and a 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio. Guests enjoy refined social spaces and innovative cuisine by acclaimed chef Benjamin Cross, inspired by Indonesia’s historic spice trade.
