As the summer vacation approaches, on June 11th, the Singapore Tourism Board and Mafengwo joined forces to create a series of novel travel experiences. Singapore has long been a popular overseas destination for Chinese travelers.
Mafengwo CEO Chen Gang stated, “The AI travel assistant, whether it’s the online AI itinerary or the offline AI cultural and creative products, is not just a tool but a ‘trigger’ for travel inspiration.”
The AI itinerary offers meticulous assistance during pre – trip planning. For instance, when a user requests a “5 – day in – depth cultural experience trip with parents”, it generates a well – rounded and relaxing itinerary that includes exploring the Chinese culture in Chinatown, experiencing modern coffee culture and traditional crafts, and visiting time – honored coffee shops. Besides the route, it also provides detailed budget allocations from three perspectives: cost – effectiveness, comfort balance, and quality experience. It especially elaborates on Singapore’s “Green Man Plus” system and silver – colored areas, facilities designed for the elderly, effectively alleviating information anxiety in itinerary – planning consultations.
Moreover, Mafengwo’s AI Xiaoma has newly introduced a real – time translation function. Departing from the lengthy process of input – to – text in traditional translation apps, users can achieve real – time multi – language interaction by simply pressing two microphones on the same screen alternately. This greatly facilitates communication for outbound travelers.
Simultaneously, Mafengwo, in cooperation with the Singapore Tourism Board, has launched an offline travel companion cultural and creative product, “AI Xiaoxinxin”. Designed in the shape of Singapore’s iconic Merlion, this doll can answer questions related to Singapore travel fluently. It can also serve as an entertaining, photo – friendly, and emotionally supportive “good partner” during tourists’ journeys.
As long – term strategic partners, the Singapore Tourism Board and Mafengwo have previously reached out to parent – child and young customer groups through projects like “The Best Summer Homework” and “Jackson Wang’s Signature Routes”, and were the first to integrate the latest technology into travel as Mafengwo’s overseas destination AI partner. The launch of the AI travel companion marks a transition from “content marketing” to “intelligent services”. In the future, both sides will continue to upgrade the AI travel companion function, enabling Singapore trips to be both well – planned and full of unexpected “new” experiences around every corner.
