From June 11 to 15, Moscow will host the historical festival “Eras and Epochs,” offering more than just a celebration—it’s an unforgettable time – traveling experience that allows visitors to gain deeper insights into Moscow and Russia’s past.
During the festival, a series of events will be held in magnificent mansions, parks blending traditional and modern elements, as well as numerous city avenues and squares. These events will immerse tourists in bygone eras, enabling them to feel the atmosphere of different historical periods in Russia. Moreover, there will be immersive historical re – enactments, making guests feel as if they’ve traveled back decades or even centuries in time, experiencing historical figures and events up close.
Thousands of participants from Russia and abroad will recreate historical events spanning different eras. For instance, Moskino Movie Park will screen films that vividly bring key moments in world history to life. At Pokrovskoye – Streshnevo Park, a street drama set in the early 20th century will be staged, with tourists not only invited to watch but also given the chance to participate in the performance.
The festival also features a variety of activities for children, including creative and handicraft masterclasses, traditional folk games, and ancient – style competitions. For those eager to explore Russia further, large – scale horse exhibitions and open – air museums are perfect destinations. The “Eras and Epochs” festival is an excellent opportunity to get close to Moscow and Russian culture and history.
