The international political and social landscapes in Europe and the Middle East were marked by several significant developments.
In a bid to ease the escalating tensions in the Middle East, the EU, along with the foreign ministers of the UK, France, and Germany, held an urgent phone call with the Iranian foreign minister. They emphasized the importance of restraint among all parties in the region and urged a return to diplomatic negotiations to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue. French President Emmanuel Macron also demanded that Israel halt airstrikes unrelated to the Iranian nuclear program and assigned his foreign minister to consult with European partners on negotiation strategies.
